My Life

“Dr. Lana’s lifelong interest in health and fitness stems back to her early childhood when she was originally placed in a ballet class. It was from that initial dance recital that her interest in exercise and natural health care was instilled. During her undergraduate years at Tulane University, she studied Exercise Science and was on track to earn her Masters. Early into the Master’s program, she visited a naturopathic doctor for her own health issues, and her career trajectory was forever changed.

She discovered that she was able to combine the foundational concepts that she models her own life after: health, nutrition, fitness and alternative therapies, into a career as a naturopathic medical doctor. It is by using naturopathic medicine and Chinese Medicine that she is able to help guide others to achieve their optimal health, correct their internal dysfunctions, alleviate pain, lose weight and ultimately feel better and look better in the process!

Dr. Lana Butner is a board certified naturopathic doctor (ND) and licensed acupuncturist (LAc). She earned her ND at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, a four-year accredited medical school. While there, she completed hundreds of hours learning about conventional and alternative medicine therapies, botanical medicine, general and genetic-specific nutrition, as well as proper detoxification techniques. She simultaneously earned her Masters of Science in Acupuncture from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture.

She now lives in New York City, where she brings her expertise in alternative health care, fitness and eastern medicine to the greater New York area, reaching patients in not only the city, but in Long Island and Connecticut, as well. When she is not working, she is in the gym or the pilates studio, enjoying the outdoors, reading, traveling and going to new events around the city.”
