Nichole Tatem

Licensed Acupuncturist

Nichole Tatem's passion for health and wellness inspires her work as a practitioner. While promoting integrative medicine, Nichole establishes a partnership where she and her patients actively work together to facilitate healing.

Nichole gained her education at the nationally accredited Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine, under the tutelage of world-renowned practitioners, including Henry McCann and master teacher Kiiko Matsumoto. Nichole trained to a high level of proficiency in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Kiiko Matsumoto Style (KMS). This combination allows her to offer Eastern Medicine as the primary way to treat a condition, or as a complimentary option to patients who are already being treated with Western medicine.

Nichole embraced Acupuncture as a complimentary approach to health while working in the physical therapy department at Plus One Health Management.

During eight years at Plus One, she assisted executive-level clients with personalized wellness and treatment programs with a focus on athletic and sports rehabilitation. She witnessed how the integration of Eastern and Western medicine, combined with defined lifestyle changes, could improve a person's overall health.

Nichole's interest in natural healing began at an early age while growing up in Bermuda. She discovered the benefits of herbal remedies, meditation, staying active and consumption of a living food diet; a lifestyle she continues to enjoy and advocate. This realization, along with a desire to help others, became the driving force behind Nichole's interest in a career as a health and wellness practitioner.

Using Traditional Chinese Medicine and Kiiko Style Japanese Acupuncture, Nichole's acupuncture practice focuses on, but is not limited to, Sports Rehabilitation, Women's Health, Cosmetic Acupuncture and General Wellness. Treatment plans also include nutritional planning, lifestyle recommendations and numerous Eastern Medical Modalities. Nichole believes in "integrative medicine" by establishing a partnership whereby patient and practitioner actively work together in the healing process. She emphasizes the importance of working with her patients to develop a wellness plan that addresses the whole person because there is a powerful interrelationship between the mind, body, spirit and environment in both wellness and disease.
